Title of Training: Wellness @ Workplace
HRDC No. Siri: 10001540953
Introduction
Happiness and success are linked.
Happiness and wellness increase productivity because it leads to higher engagement. Happy, well-adjusted employees are more present, pay more attention to the needs of customers and are more alert of the company’s processes and systems.
Wellness brings resilience and adaptability. Resilient and adaptable employees continue to deliver strong performances, in the face of change and challenges. They are also more self-motivated and willing to assume responsibilities; orientating themselves towards achieving the greater goals of the company.
All these factors come together to bring organization increased productivity and profitability.
Conversely, there is a strong co-relation between a low-morale work environment with unhappy employees and the costs their company suffer as a result.
Low engagement alone is costing the global economy $7.8 trillion, per year.
According to ‘State of the Global Workplace – 2022 Gallup Report’, up to 79% of employees are disengaged at work and among the common causes of disengagement are lack of physical & mental wellness, emotional volatility and social disconnection from co-workers.
